Tabernacle, Atlanta
Ryan Bingham won an Oscar for writing The Weary Kind, and a lot of people found him later through Yellowstone. On stage at the Tabernacle with the Texas Gentlemen behind him, none of that mattered. It was a songwriter and a great band in one of the best rooms in Atlanta.
The Tabernacle was built as a church in 1910, and you can still feel it. The balconies wrap around you, the room holds the sound, and the light falls across that stage in a way I never get tired of. It is one of my favorite places in the city to shoot.
The photo at the top of this post is the one I chose for my holiday gift cards. Some nights hand you a frame you know you will keep.
Booking a show, a tour stop or a band promo shoot? I would love to hear from you.
